A Message From The ACFSA International President
President Diane Burczyk and members of Northern Lakes Chapter,
On behalf of the Board of Directors of ACFSA International, we wish all the Northern Lakes Chapter members Happy Holidays. We are proud of the achievements of Northern Lakes Chapter. As leaders of the Correctional Food Service Industry, you have developed and promoted educational programs and networking activities to improve professionalism.
In May 2012, I’ll be making a presentation at the National Restaurant Association, in Chicago, on behalf of ACFSA. My topic will be “Bed and Breakfast Behind Bars, the Correctional Food Service Industry.” I have also reached out to the Chef’s Association to pass on the benefits for working in the correctional industry. Northern Lakes Chapter is our great example for the industry. I’ll do my best to promote ACFSA and I know you will always be there for me.

A Message From The Northern Lakes Chapter President
Greetings from Northern Lakes!
Happy New Year! 2012 is going to be a fun and exciting year for Northern Lakes and ACFSA as a whole. We have a full year of meetings and events planned starting with our March meeting at the Food Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It may seem like a ways away but it is not too early to start making your plans to attend the International Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana in August 19 - 23! Chapter elections will be coming up this year and if you are a member of ACFSA and have not been involved in NL or ACFSA then I challenge you for 2012 to step up and become involved and get the full benefits of your membership. If you missed the last meeting and would like to keep up with the latest happenings in Northern Lakes, you can click on the Meeting Minutes tab on the top of the page. On that page you will be able to read the minutes from our last two chapter meetings.

Welcome to NL Newest Member Terri Harrington of Hollander Company
NL would like to welcome Terri Harrington, our newest Local partner from Hollander Company. Terri’s company covers all facets of the foodservice equipment industry, selling through authorized dealers. Several of us in NL have already had the opportunity to work with Terri on projects at our facilities and she is a wealth of knowledge and information when it comes to foodservice equipment. Do you have an article for the Insider?
You should have received the most recent issue of the Insider. The Insider is one of the benifits of belonging to ACFSA. Each issue is full of information that pertains to our industry. Do you think there is something in your operation worth telling everyone about? It could be relating to the way you handle special diet, or grow a garden. It could be an inmate program that teaches cooking or baking. Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!
